This week’s update comes a little late because we’re on a Thanksgiving trip, complete with a quick surprise trip to bring Zoe to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! I’ve updated our Guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party after our visit, and I’ll be writing a new post specifically about bringing toddlers to the holiday events. Anyways, onto this week’s updates…
New on the Blog
I’ve continued this thing where I actually write new content. This week we had some pretty practical planning posts:
I also wrote about the announcement of a possible Frozen 4 and some possibilities for expanding Frozen’s presence in the US parks.
And I’m working on a long…very long…recap of our Alaska cruise from August.
Jollywood Nights Debuts
Update: We reviewed Jollywood Nights here.
Jollywood Nights, the new ticketed holiday event at Hollywood Studios, debuted this week. Reviews were mixed. I heard a lot of positive things about the core parts of the experience, but a lot more negativity about the lines to experience these things. Smart Mouse Travel and WDW Prep School have more about this event.
BlogMickey gave a very thorough analysis of the changes made for the second night of the event.
Disney World New Years Eve Plans
The Disney World calendar has been updated to include Magic Kingdom’s Fantasy In the Sky Fireworks on December 30 at 6:30 PM, 11:50 PM and December 31 at at 6:30 PM, 11:50 PM. The schedule for Epcot currently just has an early (6:30PM) edition of the new Luminous show, though the park traditionally has a midnight firework display, too.
If you want to spend $800 for pizza from a “Wood Burning Station,” you have that option, too.
Frozen Lands, Movie Updates
World of Frozen, the new Frozen-themed land, is set to open at Hong Kong Disneyland in a few days. I saw on instagram that TDR Explorer is already working on a video about the new land, so keep your eyes on his YouTube channel for that.
And as noted above, Frozen 4 is in the works and I wrote about that and the future of Frozen in the US parks.
