We’re Frozen fans. There’s just something about belting “LET IT GO!” that we love. If you’re visiting Disney World with a Frozen fan in the family, you probably want to know where to find all the shows, characters, rides, and other things featuring Frozen songs and characters. In this post, we’ll review the Frozen things at Walt Disney World. I’ve gone ahead and opened the comments, too, because I know I probably I missed something and you know these Frozen fans…
…they just can’t let it go.
Frozen Things at Epcot
Epcot is where Frozen has the biggest presence, mainly due to the Norway Pavilion in the World Showcase (Arendelle is inspired by Norway).
At the Norway Pavilion, you’ll find Disney World’s only Frozen ride, Frozen Ever After. Frozen Ever After is one of the most popular rides in Walt Disney World, and a cornerstone of your Epcot rope drop strategy and Epcot Lightning Lane strategy.
The boat ride is a wonderful experience fit for the whole family, though there are a few drops in there. It also happens to be our pick as the best ride for toddlers at Epcot.
Also in the Norway pavilion, you’ll find the Meet Anna and Elsa at the Royal Summerhus greeting. At that greeting you’ll meet Anna and Elsa separately, and as of the release of Frozen 2 they’re in their Frozen 2-inspired outfits.
Epcot also used to have tge Frozen Ever After Dessert Party. This was a paid event that offered small bites, desserts, and VIP viewing of the Epcot nighttime show. After the show, you were escorted over to Frozen Ever After to hop on that ride with no wait. We reviewed the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party here, but this offering is no longer available.
Finally, during Epcot’s various festivals, you’ll want to keep your eyes open for various Frozen touches. For example, at Festival of the Arts you might see Frozen-inspired art around (and you’re sure to find some for sale):
Frozen Things at Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is another big part of the Frozen at Disney World experience. Disney World’s Frozen show—For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is at the Hyperion Theater just off the hub of the park.
The sing along features the most popular songs from the original movie, plus appearances by your favorite characters. It’s hosted by a comedic duo who help keep things interesting, including by throwing in a few jokes for the parents.
The show typically occurs numerous times throughout the day, and while I’ve seen a few midday shows fill up, you shouldn’t have trouble watching it during your day at the park.
Hollywood Studios also has a Olaf meet and greet. The greeting is just around the corner from the Hyperion Theater, in the direction of the Mickey Shorts Theater.
Frozen also makes a few appearances in the nighttime projection show, The Wonderful World of Animation.
Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom sees a few Frozen appearances, but they’re all part of larger entertainment in the park. The Festival of Fantasy Parade (aka the 3 o’clock parade) has a Frozen float with Anna and Elsa. Check the times guide for actual parade times, they do vary.
Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire, the stage show that occurs several times throughout the day in front of the castle, features a scene with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf.
Happily Ever After, the nighttime firework and castle projection show, has a short segment with “Love is an Open Door” and a line from Olaf.
Also, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique—the prince / princess makeover shop for kids 3-12—has a Frozen package.
Frozen at Magic Kingdom During Christmas
Once Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off, Magic Kingdom gets an extra Frozen show. Every night around 6PM (check the times guide), the Frozen characters (Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven) how a show in front of the castle called “Frozen Holiday Surprise.” The show is about ten minutes long, and it also happens during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (so, twice those nights).
During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (a ticketed event), the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade features two Frozen floats, and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks includes the song “When We’re Together” from Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.
Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom doesn’t have a Frozen presence yet. With Arendelle-inspired lands coming to Hong Kong Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios Park (Paris), I think it would be pretty cool to see a nature-centric version of the land come to Animal Kingdom, but I’ve never heard even a whisper of such a thing happening.
Disney Springs and Hotels
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has locations at Disney Springs and at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, too.
