Where to Meet Princesses at Disney World

For many families, an essential part of the dream of a Disney vacation is meeting a princess or two…or three…or ten. Some people need to meet just that specific princess, and others want to see as many as possible. In this post, we’ll discuss where you can meet princesses at Walt Disney World Resort.

Basics of Meeting Characters at Disney World

We have a post that focuses more broadly on meeting characters at Disney World. If you’re really interested in meeting princesses, you’ll want to read that post too, as it goes into more detail about how to use the Disney World app to find characters and the different types of character greetings. For the purpose of this post, I’m happy to give a quick summary…

Major Character Greetings are character greetings that occur all or most of the day, occur every day, have posted wait times in the app, and maybe have Lightning Lanes. Standard Character Greetings are greetings that occur for short periods of the day and vary day-by-day.

Character meals are meals you can reserve ahead of time where Disney characters greet you as you dine. And special ticketed events often have unique character greetings as well. We’ll talk about all these types of greetings in this post.

RunDisney Races. RunDisney races typically have characters along the course (there was one instance at a Disneyland race where there were few or no characters, and the fandom rightfully was upset). Our Disney World marathon post contains a list of the characters we saw when we ran that race.

Subject To Change

Character greetings are always subject to change. Changes may be announced weeks in advance. You may show up at the theme park and open the app and find a character has changed. Or in rare cases you may get all the way to a greeting to find a character has been replaced.

While I would love to have the resources to keep this list perfectly up-to-date, it’s just not possible. I will do my best to update this when major changes occur, and I’ll try to avoid some one-time greeting slipping in here, but since things can change on a day’s notice anyways, you’ll need to make sure you know how to check the latest on which characters are meeting where at Disney World.

Who’s A Princess?

I don’t really know or care. I’m including some people you might not consider official Disney princesses because it literally takes you less than a second to read past their name if you aren’t interested.

Meeting Princesses in the Disney World Parks

We’ll start with where to meet the Disney World princesses in each of the four parks. As you might expect, Magic Kingdom—the castle park—has the most princess greetings by a wide margin, with around 15.  Epcot’s World Showcase (“the countries”) also has several greetings since the princesses are from some of those countries. There are about 10 princesses to meet in that park.

Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom have fewer greetings. Hollywood Studios really has between 0 and 3, depending on whom you count, while Animal Kingdom has between 1 and 3.

Where to Meet Princesses at Magic Kingdom

Remember, this list doesn’t include character meals, which we cover later in this post.

Major Greetings With Princesses at Magic Kingdom

These are more major greetings that you’ll want to plan ahead of time. They are typically held for large chunks of the day.

Ariel at Ariel’s Grotto. Ariel’s Grotto is located next to the Under the Sea ride. It’s easy to confuse the entrances, so be sure to confirm when you get there.

Cinderella at Fairytale Hall (typically paired with Elena). Fairytale Hall is just to the east of the carrousel in Fantasyland, just behind Cinderella Castle.

There are two sides, one houses Cinderella with a “visiting princess,” typically Elena of Avalor. Elena isn’t from a Disney movie, but from the Elena of Avalor animated series.

The other side typically houses Tiana and Rapunzel. If you want to meet one character in a pair, you’ll also be able to walk right over to the other. But the two sides of Fairytale Hall are completely separate.

Daisy Duck at Pete’s Silly Sideshow. Daisy is a full-time greeting in Pete’s Silly Sideshow, which is in the back of Storybook Circus, which is in the back of Fantasyland.

She is one half of “Meet Dashing Disney Pals,” which is typically listed as “Entertainment” and has a posted wait time. You’ll also typically meet Minnie Mouse as part of this greeting.

Elena at Fairytale Hall (typically paired with Cinderella). As mentioned above, Elena is typically the other half of “Cinderella and Visiting Princess” at Fairytale Hall.

Enchanted Tales with Belle. Enchanted Tales with Belle is more than just a chance to meet Belle. It’s a 20-minute attraction where kids (and adults) interact with Belle’s friends and tell Belle herself the story of how she met the Beast. Photos with Belle are available at the end, but you cannot get an autograph.

PERMANENTLY CLOSED - Merida at Fairytale Garden. Merida no longer greets at Fairytale Garden. She will be replaced by Mirabel.

Minnie Mouse at Pete’s Silly Sideshow. As mentioned above, Minnie is the other half of “Dashing Disney Pals,” greeting with Daisy Duck.

Mirabel at Fairytale Garden. Mirabel (“Encanto”) greets at Fairytale Garden, formerly home to the Merida greeting. Fairytale Garden is located east of the castle, on the path from the hub to Mad Tea Party and Cosmic Ray’s.

Princess Tiana at Fairytale Hall. Tiana and a Visiting Princess—typically Rapunzel—are the other pair at Fairytale Hall.

Rapunzel at Fairytale Hall. Rapunzel is typically the visiting princess greeting with Tiana.

Tinker Bell at Town Square Theater (Temporarily Closed). Tinker Bell greets inside Town Square Theater, which is just to the right as you enter the park. Mickey Mouse also greets in here, but the greeting is completely separate. With her prominent location, this can be one of the most popular greetings in the park.

Mystery/Visiting Princess at Fairytale Hall. Sometimes, without any notice, a princess is replaced at Fairytale Hall. The CM outside couldn’t tell me who was greeting when I first saw this, but I snapped this picture of a sign when there was a mystery princess:

Standard Greetings With Princesses

This batch of greetings are the ones that are less formal and come and go. For these, it’s particularly important to check the app and see who is greeting today.

Alice at Mad Tea Party Gardens. Alice typically greets for a very limited time in the morning just next to Mad Tea Party.

Anastasia and Drizella at Castle Wall. Yea, they’re more “anti-princess,” but I know that a lot of families (particularly with kids dressed as Cinderella) want to catch the two step-sisters. They typically have a few short greetings at the Castle Wall by Pinocchio’s Village Haus.

Mary Poppins at Liberty Square Gazebo. Mary Poppins has a few short greetings throughout the day, but her gazebo can be tough to find. It’s between Liberty Square and Adventureland, just off the main hub of the park.

Merida at Liberty Square Gazebo. Since Merida has been removed from Fairytale Garden, she now also greets on occasion at the gazebo in Liberty Square, behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. (Note: I think there’s a good chance this greeting has been completely cut, as I haven’t seen it in a while.)

Princess Jasmine at Agrabah. Jasmine typically has a few greetings a day, with Aladdin, just next to the Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.

Snow White at Town Square Theater Porch. Snow White can occasionally be found on the porch of the Town Square Theater (to the right just as you enter the park). This is not a daily greeting, so you’ll have to check the app in the morning.

Mulan at Town Square Theater Porch. In mid-2024, we saw Mulan greeting near Town Square Theater Porch, too.

Where to Meet Princesses at Epcot

All of the princess greetings at Epcot are standard greetings—short periods of time, no posted wait—except for Meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Summerhus. That greeting has a wait time and occurs continuously throughout the day. Again, this list doesn’t include character meals, which we cover later in this post.

Minnie Mouse at World Celebration. Minnie Mouse has moved a few times but as of this update is greeting near the Main Entrance, just to the right of Spaceship Earth.

Daisy Duck at International Gateway. Daisy Duck typically greets at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot (inside the park). This entrance is located between the UK and France pavilions.

Asha, from the Disney film Wish, is now greeting at Epcot. You can find her times and locations in the app, but as of today she’s greeting at the Gazebo across from the Disney Traders store (between Mexico and Canada).

Now we’ll go around the World Showcase, starting with Anna and Elsa at Norway Pavilion. Anna and Elsa greet the entire day in the Royal Summerhus at the Norway Pavilion. This greeting is listed as “Entertainment” in the app and has a posted wait time.

Mulan at China Pavilion. Mulan greets in the gardens of the China Pavilion for 20-minute segments throughout the day. She can be tricky to spot, but the gardens are right at the front of the pavilion.

Snow White at Germany Pavilion. Snow White greets at the wishing well along the outside of the Germany pavilion. She greets for 20-minute segments throughout the day.

Jasmine at Morocco Pavilion. Jasmine meets in a lamp shop inside the Morocco Pavilion for 20-minute segments throughout the day.

Aurora at France Pavilion. Aurora typically greets in the France pavilion for 20 minute segments throughout the day.

Belle at France Pavilion. Belle typically greets in her provincial outfit in the France pavilion for 20 minute segments throughout the day. My favorite thing about Aurora and Belle is that sometimes they’ll overlap and you’ll get to see them interact with each other.

meeting princesses at disney world france.jpeg

Alice at UK Pavilion. Alice typically greets at the front of the UK Pavilion, right across from the Fish & Chips stand.

Mary Poppins at UK Pavilion. Mary Poppins greets inside the UK pavilion (outdoors, but you’ll have to walk into the pavilion) for several 20-minute segments throughout the day.

Moana near Journey of Water. Moana greets guests near Journey of Water.

Where to Meet Princesses at Animal Kingdom

Pocahontas at Oasis. When Pocahontas is around, she typically greets in 20-minute intervals in the Oasis part of the park (the trails at the front of the park, right inside the entrance).

She formerly met in the the trails along the Tree of Life, and we expect she’ll still occasionally be found there going forward. She can be tricky to find there, but if you enter the Discovery Island trails from the west (near the Creature Comfort Starbucks and Terra Treats), you’ll quickly find her.

Moana at Discovery Island. Moana greets at the Character Landing on Discovery Island. The entrance to this character spot is to the right if you’re facing the bridge into Dinoland USA from Discovery Island. It’s just opposite Flame Tree Barbecue and the Isle of Java coffee stand.

Minnie Mouse at Adventurers Outpost. Mickey and Minnie greet at Adventurers Outpost throughout the day. The greeting usually has a posted wait time.

Daisy Duck at DinoLand USA. Daisy greets for most of the day at a spot near DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus, along the Cretaceous Trail.

Where to Meet Princesses at Hollywood Studios

Live Action Ariel at Walt Disney Presents. Time will tell whether this new greeting lasts or is just part of the film promotion, but the Walt Disney Presents… building is hosting a Live Action Ariel greeting.

Rey at Galaxy’s Edge. I hope no one is upset by my putting Rey on this list, but with so little at Hollywood Studios I felt it a good idea to include her. Rey can be found wandering around the Resistance area of Galaxy’s Edge at unscheduled times throughout the day. She wanders, so there is no line to meet her. If she can stop for a photo, you’ll have to be quick. If she can’t, a friend or parent might still be able to grab a candid of you walking with her.

Minnie at Red Carpet Dreams. Mickey and Minnie greet throughout the day in Red Carpet Dreams, across from ABC Commissary and Sci-Fi Dine In. There is a posted wait time.

Jessie at Toy Story Land. Jessie greets continuously throughout the day outside Alien Swirling Saucers.

Bo Peep at Toy Story Land. Bo Peep greets with Woody next to Toy Story Mania continuously throughout the day.

Daisy Duck at park entrance (sighting only). Daisy Duck often waves to entering guests from the balconies near the entrance to the park.

Princesses at Ticketed Events and Parties

For starters, depending on the parameters of any ticketed event, there may be characters who meet during ordinary park hours who are also available during the event. For example, Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom is usually available during Magic Kingdom After Hours, Magic Kingdom Early Morning Magic, and the holiday parties.

Additionally, the holiday parties—Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party—typically have greetings that aren’t available during regular park hours.

These greetings may include princesses who aren’t usually in the park, princesses who are in the park but in different outfits, or princesses who typically are in the park and still in their standard outfits. Some princesses greet with their princes during the parties (Ariel and Prince Eric are a common pair). Greetings change year by year.

The most popular princess at the parties is Moana, who meets inside Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. We’d also highlight that at this Christmas party this year we met Belle in this fabulous gown:

Princess Character Meals

We’re going to end with character meals—including those at the parks—that have princesses. Because of their popularity, character meals are often highly sought after Disney World advance dining reservations, and you should plan to book them as far in advance as possible (60 days, or longer for Disney hotel guests, as of this update).

Because planning your dining is a more extensive process than just looking at this list, this list is going to get to the point and then direct you elsewhere.

Each dining experience on the list will have the restaurant, location, meal, and included characters (including non-princesses). I recommend using Google to find some reviews if you’re interested in these meals.

To keep this list more straightforward, I’m not including Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck as princesses. As always, these greetings are subject to change. Some—like Cinderella’s Royal Table—don’t even publish a “typical” list of who will be there. We have a post ranking all the character meals at Disney World, too.

  • Cinderella’s Royal Table, Magic Kingdom, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner — Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Ariel

  • Akershus, Epcot, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner — Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Ariel

  • ‘Ohana, Polynesian, Breakfast — Lilo, Stitch, sometimes one or two “Fab Five”

  • Story Book Dining at Artist Point, Wilderness Lodge, Dinner — Snow White, Evil Queen, Grumpy, Dopey

One More Thing…

The Princess Promenade at Grand Floridian previously provided guests an opportunity to meet Cinderella. Last I heard it was on hiatus, but it’s the sort of thing that could pop back up at a moment’s notice.
