Magic Carpets of Aladdin Basics
Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a ride at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The ride
does not offer rider switch
has a Lightning Lane that is a part of Genie+
does not have a single rider line
is a NOT part of Early Entry at Magic Kingdom
is about 90 seconds long
You’ll find a video of the ride a bit below in this post.
Where is Magic Carpets of Aladdin located?
Magic Carpets of Aladdin is located in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. Entering the park, you’ll head to the hub and take a left, crossing the bridge into Adventureland. Heading straight, you can’t miss Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
How to Ride Magic Carpets of Aladdin
If you have Genie+, Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a low priority. Typically it will have quick return times, so we’ll often just grab it right as we’re getting on a nearby ride. While you don’t want to ride it too early (you want to prioritize short waits in the morning), it can easily wind up being your third or fourth ride of the day.
Without Genie+, it’s basically the same idea—don’t head to it immediately, but if you find yourself in Frontierland / Adventureland with a few rides done and no good options now that waits have ticked up, Magic Carpets is a fine one to squeeze in with a 10 minute wait before heading to the other side of the park.
That said, if you’re heading toward Fantasyland and particularly Mad Tea Party, Under the Sea, Dumbo, and Barnstormer next, I’d probably head straight to those if they have 5-minute waits. Better to save Carpets for later and get through four rides quickly then wind up riding carpets and then finding out those waits all went up.
If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom with small children, Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a good option because it has no height requirement. You can get sprayed with water, which might be scary for some kids.
Magic Carpets of Aladdin Ride Experience
Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a typical aerial carrousel. It offers pretty nice views of the surrounding area with the castle in the background. You can get spit on by the camel on the ride, so go all the way up if you wish to avoid getting spit on. You can watch a video of the ride here:
Magic Carpets of Aladdin FAQ
Do the camels spit on Magic Carpets of Aladdin?
Yes. There is one camel that spits on guests in the walkway of the park, and there is a second that spits on guests on the ride. To avoid getting spit on by the one on the ride, move your carpet to the highest setting.
